F. Scott Taylor

Director of Real Estate

Scott earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate from The University of Texas at Arlington. After receiving his degree in 1992, he joined a local real estate appraisal firm as a Staff Appraiser. Soon after, Scott joined a National property tax consulting firm where he assumed management of the Southwest region real estate practice. In 1995, Scott was recruited by one of the Big 4 accounting & consulting firms. In his role of Practice Leader, Scott was responsible for managing a real estate group of senior property tax consultants, provided research and analysis on numerous projects for various commercial properties, performed site inspections, audited client’s income & expense statements, rent rolls and other financial documents for accuracy. Scott also conducted extensive market research for lease rates, vacancy rates, CAM expenses, replacement reserve percentages and cap rates. Prior to joining Rash & Associates, Scott developed and managed his own successful state & local tax practice for five years.

Scott has over 15 years of real estate and personal property experience. His expertise encompasses unique and traditional commercial real estate valuation techniques for numerous property types including hospitals, office buildings, industrial assets, hotels and retail sites. Scott has extensive experience managing multi-state property portfolios with an aggressive pursuit for favorable tax assessments.

In his role at Rash & Associates, Scott oversees the management of the real estate property tax operations. His experienced staff is responsible for the firm’s real property assessment reviews which include the administrative through judicial levels of appeal, analyses and presentations.

Scott is a licensed Senior Property Tax Consultant and a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
