Property Tax Alert: Massachusetts

January 2004

Subject to approval for fiscal year 2004, a Massachusetts real property tax bill will be due and payable in two installments. The first will be due and payable on February 1, 2004, or 30 days after the tax bills are mailed, whichever is later (formerly, on February 1, 2004). The second will be due and payable on May 1, 2004. If the real estate tax bills are not mailed by January 30, 2004, there will a single tax bill due and payable on May 1, 2004, or 30 days after the date of the mailing, whichever is later.
