Property Tax Alert: Nevada

A partial abatement of Nevada property tax has been enacted for buildings that meet certain standards for energy efficiency by qualifying on a certain level as green buildings. The partial abatement, to be granted by the Commission on Economic Development, may extend up to 10 years and must not exceed 50% of the real property taxes payable each year.

Further, products and materials used in the construction of such buildings are exempt from Nevada local school support tax.
