Property Tax Alert: Illinois

Electors have authorized eight Illinois counties, subject to approval, to impose an occupation and use tax of 0.1 cent or an annual property tax of up to 0.2% of the value of all taxable property to develop and maintain storm water management plans. The eight counties are Madison, St. Clair, Monroe, Kankakee, Grundy, LaSalle, DeKalb, Kendall, and Boone.
