Property Tax Alert: Texas

June 2007

The Texas Legislature has passed H.J.R. 54, which proposes a constitutional amendment to exempt from property tax one motor vehicle used by an individual for professional use that is also used for personal activities of the owner that do not involve the production of income. The amendment is to be submitted to Texas voters at an election on November 6, 2007. If approved, the provision would be effective for the 2007 tax year.
